Powers/Abilities/Talents: Tonks is a witch complete with magic wand, broomstick and cauldron. But wait! There's more! She is also a Metamorphmagus. That means that she can change her appearance at will. It's a great party trick.
She went to a school of witchcraft and wizardry. She learned how to transfigure mice into goblets, how to brew potions, how to make things float, and a host of other magical abilities. Despite not being a prefect material in any way shape or form, she was a better than average student. She got top marks.
Tonks can fly! Okay. She can fly on a broomstick.
Those top marks meant she got accepted into an uber-elite division of magical law enforcement. She trained for three years to become an Auror which is a fancy term for an elite dark wizard catcher. Tonks learned how to duel. She learned how to protect her mind. She passed the training which speaks well for her abilities since she's also dead clumsy.
